Blue speckled ramen bowls

We like the spicy pho from Pho 96 on south Federal – but these bowls are great for any large noodle salad or soup. The deep foot allows you to hold a hot dish comfortably, and the notches provide a resting place for your chopsticks.

Two large bowls stacked neatly, with chopsticks resting across notches in the rim of the top bowl. Most of the bowl is raw speckled light brown clay with deep grooved rings of texture, while the inside and top inch or so are smooth and glazed in a floating blue that gathers organically in lighter and darker patches. One bowl tilted towards camera, showing the glazed insides - darker blue at the rim and gathering into lighter blues towards the base. The other bowl tilts away, revealing the same blue glaze hidden inside the half-inch deep angled foot ring. One bowl inverted on top of the other, rim to rim, a near-perfect match with chopstick notches at the same place on both. Hidden inside the foot ring of one bowl, there is a triangular crack that's been filled and glazed over - but is still visible. One bowl facing out, revealing the inside glaze, resting against the other inverted bowl.

One has slight cracking inside the foot ring – which has been stabilized, and does not impact functionality. I prefer selling them as a set (give yourself a discount if you like) since they go together so well.

Made by hand in Denver, CO with Speckled Brown Trout from Rocky Mountain Clay. Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
