Ironstone ramen bowls

Made to order

We like the spicy pho from Pho 96 on south Federal – but these bowls are great for any large noodle salad or soup. The deep foot allows you to hold a hot dish comfortably, and the notches provide a resting place for your chopsticks.

A stack of large bowls made from black clay with a nearly half-inch angular foot, rounded raw-clay form, and rim glazed in organic whites and browns. Each has two notches in the rim, and there are chopsticks across the top bowl.
The inside of each bowl continues the organic varried whites and browns – each with a subtle splatter of blues along one side.
The main form of the bowl has a deep grooved texture of askew rings overlapping, but the texture stops abruptly creating a smooth ribbon-like rim around the top. The colors on this one are almost sepia, and there are chopsticks resting in the notches.
Close up on the rim shows speckles and variations in the whites and sepia browns of the glaze.
The foot ring is deep and angular both outside and inside, making it easy to hold even when full of hot soup.
Another bowl with chopsticks, this one with more contrast in the variation between lighter whites and darker browns.
The inside is nearly white, with subtle browns peaking through in soft variation.

These Ironstone bowls have a raw and earthy feel – in textured clay and organic white-to-browns glazes. Specific sizes and colors vary across individual pieces.

Made by hand in Denver, CO with Ironstone from New Mexico Clay. Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Requires roughly one month production time before shipping.
