Blue burst light jar

The porcelain provides a warm glow, or you can remove the lid for brighter room light. This one is smaller than some of the others, and only fits a small bulb with a standard socket base.

A blue jar with green-and-gold base, but the top half and lid are glowing amber from inside. The word light is carved near the top in a sort of handwritten slab serif, with blue rays emanating from the text. With the light off, most of the jar is a soft aqua blue, with the text and rays in darker blue, and the base a green with specks of gold. The base angles in then back out, and in again slowly towards the lid - almost like a lava lamp. With the lid off, the standard bulb is still just below the rim of the jar. The lid is a thin disc with a locating flange that sticks out underneath to help guide it into place. The base is a hollow foot ring with a hole in the back, where the black lamp cord passes into the foot, and then through a hole in the center of the piece where the light socket is mounted. Close up on the side of the foot ring, where the glaze has separated slightly creating almost reverse-drips of small bare patches. With the lid off, light pours from the top of the jar.
