The porcelain provides a warm glow, or you can remove the lid for brighter room light. Fits a standard light bulb, though smaller bulbs often work as well.

A porcelain jar that's glowing amber from the inside, and has the word light hand-carved on the front in a sort of slab serif font. The lid is on and also glowing warmly. The jar has a lantern-like shape, narrow cylinder at the base and rim, then angling out to a wider cylinder for most of the body. There's a texture carved around the wide section, so that it glows in subtle rings. With the light off, it's a white jar with a splash of light blues, and a darker blue in the lettering and inside my small m stamp at the base. The lid is a thin slab, with a short locating flange that protrudes on the bottom. The power cable is black with a rocker switch. When open and viewed from above, a standard light bulb is visible inside. The bottom inch is a hollow foot ring with a hole cut in the back, so that the cable can get in to the socket mount in the center. With the light on and lid off, more light pours from the top.

Made by hand in Denver, CO with Kota (porcelain) from Kentucky Mudworks. Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
