The porcelain provides a warm glow, or you can remove the lid for brighter room light. Fits a standard light bulb, though smaller bulbs often work as well.

White porcelain jar glowing a warm amber from within. It's shaped a bit like a paper lantern, a wide textured cylinder that angles in near the rim and base which become vertical cylinders again at a narrower width. The word light is carved and inlaid with blue wash high up on the main body, and there's a thin glowing lid on top. The light is off now, revealing the piece is a bright glossy white, with blue text, a blue makers mark, and a splash of faded blue across the front. The text is strung together, almost as though written in string. There's a black cable coiled beside the jar with a rocker switch. The lid is off and leaning against the piece with a locating flange that angles in slightly. From above, with the lid off, a standard bulb is visible inside. From below, the foot is hollowed out with an inset base, where nut and washer hold the mount in place. A black cable emerges from under the jar, and through a small hole out the back of the foot ring. The light on, with the lid off. Not only a glow through the porcelain, but also light pouring from the opening.
