The porcelain provides a warm glow, or you can remove the lid for brighter room light. Fits a standard light bulb, though smaller bulbs often work as well.

Porcelain jar glowing warmly from the inside through textured walls and a porcelain lid. The word light has been carved in a playful slab serif handwriting, and glows extra bright. With the light off, the jar is white with a blue stamp at the base and a subtle blue splatter. The carved lettering is even more subtle now, combining with the textured rings of the piece. The shape is nearly symmetrical top to bottom, upright at each end, then angled out - but the middle curves back in concave, like an apple core or hourglass. The lid has a slab-like edge with a slight angle, and a locating flange inside to help it set into place. With the lid removed, the bulb is visible from a high angle. The base has a deep outer ring with a hole in the back for the black power cable to pass through and up into the piece. The mount is held by a washer and nut hidden inside the foot ring, and the cable has a black rocker switch. With the light on, removing the lid allows light to pour out the top.
