Trans fats butter bell

– 1 in stock

The best way to keep butter fresh at room temperature, so it’s easy to spread – and one of my favorite forms to make.

An open butter bell in two pieces, the upright jar and overturned lid revealing a bell inside – now upright. On the side of the jar it says trans fats in a hand-carved slab serif inlaid with white.
With the lid on, the bell and glazed areas are hidden, so it looks like an angular jar made from rich brown raw clay with subtle texture.
The insides are glazed in organic floating blues, and the lid appears disc-like, with a thicker edge and inset middle.
The bell emerges from the underside of the lid with an unglazed angular section that helps locate the bell in the jar, and then straight glazed walls inset slightly. The underside of the jar is also hiding a blue glaze.

Made by hand in Denver, CO with a reclaimed mix of clays. Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
